I've been thinking carefully about this Ignore 2.0 system
and I've come to the conclusion that it was implemented by someone who did not understand how to write SQL select statements using table aliases or self joins

tl;dr - it's been written by an idiot in the most simplistic way possible and no one has the confidence to actually go in and fix it

like page 1 has 10 results then page 2 has 20 then it gets up to about 100 results then you click next page and it says no results found

I mean, whoever wrote that clearly had a strong grasp of recordset paging
