He persuaded them to change their name to The High Numbers and release 'I'm The Face'. He wrote the lyrics, cashing in on the mod slang of the day. They got rid of him straight afterwards - that's the closest they came to the proper mod scene

Apparently there's a movie about him, but in fairness I can't verify that.
My mate told me that his dad said that most people talk shit and he wasn't bothered by threats - but one person he was genuinely scared of was Jimmy Saville: if he was after you, you were fucked.
