Clearly not. Age is a barrier to understanding, but it's not the only one. Education, cultural context, misinformation - there are many reasonable things that prevent good people from fully understanding a situation. Ironically your own naive black & white absolutism is another example.

At some point if you're an adult and don't have learning disabilities, you have to take responsibility for yourself and stop making excuses.
