Great news!
my brother in law is responding well to treatment and his brain tumour has shrunk! He's got the most agressive type you can get and only 20% of people make it to one year after diagnosis, 5% make it to 5 years. He's getting hyperthermic therapy which seems to be increasing the effectiveness of the other treatments and if it carries on at this rate he may be eligible of surgery or cyberknife which could give him years more to live. We're under no illusions though and, frankly, the fact that he's relatively well at this point is plenty to celebrate.

excellent news
I sincerely hope the cyberknife is better made than its truck relative

If it only gets recalled 4 times it will be doing better

And I will keep him in my prayers
May I have his first name please?

DO NOT GIVE PERSONAL INFORMATION TO THIS LUNATIC.

LOL
What can I do with his first name except pray for him?

I'm sure you can spaz back through his previous posts
And find out what hospital he's in then turn up dressed as a nun

Good ideas. Thanks.

I don't like it when people are cowards online
And bully others under the shield of anonymity. Everybody here knows my real name and can find me easily. I live in Lucca, Tuscany and it's beautiful. I'm not a lunatic, but I do have depression and a hot temper.

P.s. I didn't mean you. You're lovely

That is good news.
I just got back from my ENT appointment and my suspicious ear canal lump has completely disappeared, which is also good news. I think. They could not see what's wrong with me though. They're sending me for an MRI in a month or so.
(, Sun 13 Oct 2024, 16:49, archived)
Is your ear still hurting?
Glad that the lump has gone...
(, Sun 13 Oct 2024, 16:55, archived)
They mostly don't hurt.
Mostly.

I'm glad you're having an MRI because it's strange they are hurting some
Even though you have had treatment

I hope he keeps fighting
Cancer is an absolute cunt
(, Sun 13 Oct 2024, 21:08, archived)
It so fucking is
He’s really doing all anyone can though. He’s on a few experimental treatments as well as the usual ones and has put a lot of effort into being healthier and fitter. It’s humbling to see how much he’s doing. I know everyone who faces cancer has a different battle though and I’m only saying this because I’m seeing someone close to me going through it. I have other friends who never even had a chance .

my dad died of cancer at 63
He wouldn't harm a fly, he even walked in the road at night to avoid treading on snails.
