I've got quite old meat in my freezer.
How dangerous can it be really? It's been frozen for a couple of years and I'm loath to waste it if all I'm risking is possibly a mild stomach upset. Includes pigeon, pheasant and even squirrel.

How potentially harmful is it to eat a squirrel that's been dead for two years, is that what you're asking?
And this is because you're concerned about waste, is that when you're saying?
I think whatever you paid for that dead squirrel is probably best regarded as a loss at this point.

3-6 months in the freezer
but it might be edible a bit longer
If you haven't eaten it in 2 years, when were you planning to? It can't be that much of a priority. Treat yourself to some new meat, you deserve it

I really need a proper look through. Trouble is I keep taking stuff off the top rather than rotating.
