30th anniversary of the Dunblane massacre,
hit hard for me because I grew up a couple of miles away and I was at school with the murdered teacher's daughter and my mum (also a teacher) knew her well.

Her daughter was horrible though, silver lining I suppose.

My dad was due to visit the local police on business that day
but his boss phoned to cancel as there had been "a terrible shooting incident at a local school". Given that my mum was a teacher at a local school, this shat him up somewhat. At least my sister and I had left by that point.
