Most of Linkin Park's songs were about wanting to kill yourself too.
I remember the Kinks doing a live session on Mark & Lard's 10pm Radio 1 show in 1994, they had been booked to support Nirvana on a tour which never happened (one guy in my halls of residence had tickets for the Glasgow show, I asked him if he was gutted and he just laughed "I got a refund!"). Anyway, Radcliffe asked Ray Davies about Cobain, and he deadpanned "the man writes a song called 'I hate myself and want to die', you've got to take that as a hint."
