One: it wasn't a picture of a child.
Two: yes, indecent pictures of children are wrong.
Three: Even if it had been an indecent picture of a child (it wasn't, see point One), then the way of dealing with it was not the shitstorm that ensued.

Here's the thing. None of /talkers involved in the argument gave a toss about the picture. They just saw an opportunity to troll. Mongy (was it? I don't really care) posted at least one truly indecent picture of Dora the Explorer naked in the following LOL threads. It wasn't racy like taters picture was, but it was a naked picture of a child and no one batted an eyelid.

So yeah, if you got drawn into the argument on their side you were trolled just as much as the rest of the board.
