but this goo that killed the bird is worse because of the dispersants that have broken the normal way oil and sea water react - clean-up is going to be much more difficult now. The area that is being hit now is where my father grew up - I went fishing off the coast of Louisiana many times when I was young... not going there now!

She has been in the area for the last few days (but has been on the story since the start. )
Look for her coverage on Youtubes or what ever works - I used to work with bunker fuel oil and I can figure the smell of the oil (and rotting fish, animals & vegetation) is going to be the State Aroma for a few years.

And now it is hurricane season (and the oil in the water increases the temperature so they will be even stronger this year...)
