overworked monstrosities that they are, that stuff sells.
You made a few of those at some point I guess, it's rough work making it look half natural. It's like a tabloid of all headlines, each part of the pic screaming SEE ME SEE ME.

HDR to me should be like trying to get as close as you can to reality.
Or even hyper realism.
Most of those don't look real at all.
To each his own, of course.

a true HDR photo of a true HDR subject is capable of displaying a greater range. By definition then it could never look natural; it's a completely unnatural view of the world from the human point of view.

It's a nice photo, it really is, but ironically it's not actually a subject with a particularly high natural dynamic range to start with;
and where the dynamic range is slightly stretched, such as the bright light through the windows, the photo is completely burned out, there's no dynamic range at all.
Again, it's a nice photo and all, but don't expect a gentle ride posting stuff like this here :)

And even if it was, I want to argue about it.

I was raised on a diet of Resident Evil and Silent Hill...I can't get enough of that high contrast, uneven light sh*t! haha
while we're on the subject - please playstation gods, make us another fixed-camera Resident Evil game, please...this over-the-shoulder bollocks is rubbish...think how good it could look with modern technologies...please?
