# Hahaha!
I completely agree with this. When they go on and on about how much bacteria there is on a 'clean' chopping board. I'd like them to point out one example where only washing something in normal soapy water has made someone ill...

# Also - if something is advertised as killing 99% of all known germs,
doesn't that leave the immune 1% able to reproduce more easily without any competition, thereby making surfaces more likely to cause illness?

# As long as the water is hot, you're OK.
When you're washing up, your detergent (liquid) cleans the dirt off, the heat of the water kills the bacteria.

# technically speaking all you need is a mixture of water, vinegar, baking soda and lemon juice to clean your entire house.
Commercial window cleaner is pretty much 50/50 water/vinegar with some colourant in it.

to use for cleaning, eating, drinking, deodorant, wound treatment, medicine, and flushing down the toilets.

# There's one that says there's more harmful bacteria on your toilet seat than on your chopping board.
If it worries you the simple solution is just chop your food on your toilet seat. It has the added advantage for easy waste disposal. Maybe that's the real reason for the toilet lid.

# I think you got the subject line back to front !
The thing about all those bacteria on your chopping board (or bog seat)is that they sit there quite happily not killing you, so why not leave them there.

They also never bother to mention there are a Fucking Billion times more bacteria living in your gut than live on your bog seat - and if they weren't there, then you definitely would die !

Personally I want to come back as the 1% of germs that Domestos doesn't kill, and live on Holly Willoughby's bog seat.
