# I'm in hell!!!
Using a Mac right now, argggh! After an hour I've managed to find my way onto the net, and now I'm awash in a sea of horrible gray and white!

And why is that stupid little face smiling at me?!

Stupid mouse movement, stupid keyboard. Made fifteen typos already.

# err, you are kidding?
mac's are great and so easy a 5 year old could use them. And you are ... how old?

edit - can't find something? Apple 'f', f is the first letter for "find'
;)

to rotate the text in a post/thread so it's at an angle.

Shame Meta Creations disapppeared (with all their drop shadows). Kai Kraus's idea was to make very simple packages that just do the things you want, without all the complicated stuff, so everyone would be able to use them. I saw him give a talk once and he was great. Big 'tsache.

wow - good luck with your performances - and grade 8. Takes me back a bit ;) Shit - talking to you makes me panic - actually should oil my clarinet if nothing else.

Could hardly be described as 'easy to use' unless you area complete acid-casualty, a bit like Mr Kraus.

# i dunno -
what have you used that has been difficult... I've not used loads of his stuff but its always seemed quite intuitive.

# yeah, i know what you mean.
KPT's. Insane interface. Dropshadows on dropshadows, with embossing round the edge and a bevel on the side and... and... *falls over*

# I don't WANT easy!
I'm a friggin' game designer, this is so simplistic it's numbing my MIIIND!

I need complexity! I need endless string of "There was an error type 142 in matrix Z on line MMXMSH:859833, please fornicate now."

I LIKE that stuff, aaaargh!

# osx?
I don't like the interface either to be honest - much prefer os9, but i appreciate why x is better, stability wise.

i used to use a pc, it was utterly shite. I'm amazed that the very stupid people in the world seem to be able to manage with something so ugly and unintuitive. (I mean the general population. not you, by the way!)
(, Mon 7 Apr 2003, 21:32, archived)
# Well, true...
I'll admit that PCs take a much longer time to learn, but I've been working with them since I was six, and I find that they're much more versatile once you get used to them.

So it's settled:

Intelligent people and REAL MEN use PCs, whiney babies and morons use Macs :)

# well,
these days, if parents are buying their kids a computer, they'll go for a pc cos they can afford it. i know that's why i was brought up on them (amongst others that died out).

my dad was one of the first people in the country who got to play with first generation macs, and he loved them, but he went and became a teacher and so couldn't afford them.

but anyway, you usually end up being most comfortable with what you learn first.
(, Mon 7 Apr 2003, 21:37, archived)

# No
It's not about price with me, believe me.

I just like them better, I think PCs sort of "take you in" more. Here I am, sitting at a Mac, and I feel like I'm sitting at a desk...which I am.

A PC makes me feel as if I'm actually IN the computer, especially with games, it's much more immersive.

# And another thing...
WHERE'S THE BLOODY CLOCK?!

Edit: Oh there it is.
