some new tools but it's all pretty much the same stuff as previous versions.

and yes, the animation thing is lobbed in now. I'm on cs3 and it won't even let me import .gif files unless I rename them to .mov.

using File / Import / Import Video Frames to Layers... and just start typing the name of the gif. If you're on a Mac carry on as you are. CS5 will open a gif properly now by File / Open...

I think the "Optimize" button is still there, but I never use it as it always makes a mess of the gif. I perfer good ol' fashioned tweaking settings like in the days of ImageReady. There is an Optimize menu just to the right of the preset box at the top.

Window > Animation to get the animation strip up. It's the same as ImageReady's.
When you're in the "Save For Web" screen, make sure you've got the "Optimized" view selected to get the opmtimization tools to show up on the right. Once they do, they should be pretty much identical to the ImageReady tools.
