# I'm looking forward to Simon Pegg and co. in Tin Tin
Sorry to TJ but....
Does anyone know of a good program to rip videos from Youtube?
I used to use 'Keepvid' but I think the Youtube guys have updated their code and Keepvid isn't working anymore.

# If you use Safari as a browser:
go to your YouTube video and then open the browser's Activity window, wait for the files to stop listing, and then double-click the largest file in the list (for a 3 minute vid the size is normally 5MB plus depending on quality). It will then download the file to your desktop. The result may need .flv added on the end to get it to open in Quicktime Player or similar.
I can only speak from experience of using this method on a Mac but I hear that Safari on the PC is pretty similar. Every ripping program I tried quickly stopped working each time YouTube updated their site but this method hasn't failed me yet :)
