I have one of those cables for something, and it makes me happy that, as a consequence, my 4-port hub is fully populated despite only having 3 devices in it.
PS. Technically it's probably OCPD rather than OCD.

What annoys me, in a tedious, geeky way, is that the two cables that I own that do that, although they look identical, only seem to work with the device they were supplied with. USB2 standard, my arse.
