I live in Hackney right near Victoria Park
There's a great sense of community with lots of good pubs and restaurants. Indeed the largest Vietnamese community in London makes for fantastic food outlets.
Transport links are fine. I can be in Oxford Circus in 30 mins or Camden in 15 and at work in Greenwich in 40.
Or an hour's stroll along the canal to either Tower Bridge or Angel.
/End travel-blog.
Stick that up your East 17.

20 mins to Oxford Circus
Apologies for calling it a shit hole when a lovely shiny star such as yourself lives there.
I meant Dalston

Are you anywhere near the High St?
Good little Turkish-ish caff overlooking Rectory(?) Gardens called Olive.
Big portions!
