why should I give a monkeys, I really don't see what connection it has with me.
I've no interest in anyone getting married that isn't me really, don't see how its my business.

Maybe in time since they've grown to televise these familial celebrations they'll let us watch the conception possibly to see that it's done right.

I find the idea of marriage quite ridiculous.
Me and the missus only did it to save her the minor irritation of explaining no she wasn't Mrs HappyToast when people phoned, now she can say she is. Plus it was a good excuse for me to dress like a gorilla.

It's utter bollocks that is either horribly tainted with religion or conforming to guidelines. You don't need public approval to love someone or a piece of paper signed in triplicate. And we sure as fuck don't need the event to be televised so the nation can cheer us on.

You don't have to go the whole religious expense-fest of it but the missus generally likes that side :)

"Marriage is a ghastly public confession of a strictly private intention."

Although I'm a happy monarchist, I don't begrudge others not wanting them. I do get cheesed off with some of the arguments that rely on bollocks (that they cost the country money, etc) when it's perfectly fair to disagree with them on idealogical grounds.
