# I'm not talking about quality of art, I'm talking about
lack of hummus or effort

Not singling yours out specifically, it's just the straw that broke the camels back this morning.
The challenge is to find objects in compromising positions, not just post a potato that looks like a cock or something that That's life might get a rise out of in 1984.

I just never get why some people miss read 'Image Challenge' as 'Post any tenuous shit'. Surely that isn't challenging unless you use a head dobber.

again, not meaning any specific offence, just wishing the world tried a little harder this morning

# I've added some alt text
Just for you.

# yes, that was clearly obvious from the start
again, that's not the point of the image challenge is it
(, Fri 2 Sep 2011, 8:48, archived)
# Yes. Yes it is.
Everyone's got their own interpretation. Some good, some bad, but these are very much relative terms depending on the sense of humour of the person who's looking at it.

Go and have a cup of tea and a bun. It's Friday.

# If everyone kept strictly to the letter of an image challenge...some challenges would only attract one page of entries

# people subverting an image challenge?
or having an different interpretation to what was originally thought?
Why, that never happens on b3ta

# oh Archie, you always turn up with the same "wise old man of b3ta" claptrap
only to then appear on Twitter or Facebook saying b3ta is shit because no one tries any more (and other mysterious reasons that you say will get you in trouble if you spill)

Why not try saying why you think b3ta is shit here instead of disagreeing with the same points, at least then people can pull their socks up or disagree in person.

# you are way too uptight
start your own image board
/ignores

# uptight/fond of b3ta
same thing, apologies for upsetting you with my opinion which I am well aware is no better than anyone elses.

# it's a bit strange to get upset about people on a website - known for pushing the boundaries of common decency for comedic effect - for pushing the boundaries of your image brief...

# read what I put chap
it's not about deviation, it's about laziness and the things that other people seem to be allowed to complain about without people picking them up on but I'm not.

Never mind.

seems pretty conclusive, like...

Never mind.

# yep
I appreciate where I went wrong in half awake rambling
but didn't think it would be right to edit as people had already replied and I didn't want to make them look like mentals, when that's obviously my job.

Anyway

# It's probably too late for you to read this but
I concur that way too much slop is posted on b3ta that is borne out of no thought, planning or effort.

Just wanting b3ta to be the shining centre of hummus again that I think you do.

And getting my words in the wrong order or being misunderstood

# It was looking as though we had a candidate for Dixon's 'Golden Flounce' award for a moment there.
