Just donated another £10 in the hope that i can get a nice choice of icons. I want the duck one, but alas, i have the cyclops dog thing like everyone else :-(

b3ta is nice and minimal. I fucking hate it on some forums where you have a huge, distracting animated avatar, a lengthy sig quoting linkin park lyrics or some anime bollocks, and a big sparkly banner at the bottom of each post, yet the actual post content is minimal and hidden amongst all the shite.

it would be good if we were given the tiniest bit of freedom to create our own tiny avatars in B/W like the ones we have now. Would encourage creativity to make a freebase in so few pixels.
I guess the donation icons are an incentive for mugs like me to tuck my dirty notes into Rob's garter belt though. The filthy whore.

you get the current batch with each donation (a batch being anything from 1 to half a dozen depending on how busy Rob's been)

i knew of the whole batch system, i just figured that the more you donate, the more access you get to icons already made. Oh well - i guess rob will have another tenner off me when some decent icons come out!
Its worth it though - despite its ups and downs, b3ta is my most visited daily site (apart from BT mail and facebook, of course)
