Like its got its little paws in a pouch, and its feet are at the bottom just out of shot

Jim is an average sized bloke as well, so I should imagine this is how Sabre toothed tigers were sized back when our ancestors were trying to hide

It's a combination of cute and terrifying. On one hand I hate to see them caged. On the other hand, I wouldn't want to meet them outside of that cage.
No wonder humans have ruined the planet. It's a scary place. We had to kill stuff in order to not be munched.
Or something.

and that's not a good thing. Jim had these two donated to his collection because the previous owner "accidentally" bred a lion with a tiger and was probably ostracised by the zoological community. As you can imagine, it does the two species no good whatsoever, but they are wonderful animals in their own right and deserve to be looked after.

but I'm pretty disappointed with my pictures; especially of these two.
I think I was shaking too much with awe (and possibly fear).

and it wasn't exactly the best place photographically
But fuck me, until the day I die when he introduced those two through that gate I will gasp.
And as I said at the time, when that woman walked past taking her dog for a walk, it was almost wonderful she didn't have a clue what was ten feet away from her :)

In the eighties a bunch of scientists grafted a dog's head, shoulders and front legs to the shoulder of another dog, not for any reason other than to see "if it could be done".
I think they survived for a few painful days.
Makes you proud to be human.

well this is b3ta, and the trick has always been to move ninja-like between serious and silly without travelling through flounce.
