I think if any regular had posted that
they would have gotten exactly the same response, and they'd have laughed along with it, because that's what happens here.
Perhaps you're cutting this person a break because he doesn't post often, which of course is up to you and is fair enough. But even a cursory glance at the site is enough to see how things work here. It really shouldn't be any surprise to anyone.
Myself, I'd have pointed out how compassionate everyone was, giving him a first-hand example of how b3ta works, and I would have declined to spoil that lesson by interfering with it :)
