My Mum is 52 and has now been single for the past 4 years. I am worried about her being lonely as she enters the later years of her life. She doesn't really have anyone in her life except me and her cats. Both of her parents have passed away, and she isn't very close to her siblings. She is a lovely, friendly, kind person who has a heart of gold. Now, I mean this in the nicest possible way, but she has let herself go quite a bit. She dresses much older than her actual age, hasn't been to a salon for a long time (she has grey roots showing through) and just doesn't seem to be bothered as much as when she was younger.
I just think if she wants to find a man then she needs to make more of an effort. If she doesn't, then she is running the risk of becoming a lonely old spinster with a cold, empty space on the other side of her bed for the rest of her life. I don't judge her on how she looks but I can see how men on online dating sites would. It's a very competitive arena. I haven't mentioned anything to her about this but I'm wondering if I should.

and denoted a person who steered the ship. From there it took on the meaning as anyone who leads the way on a journey, like the pilot in a plane.
That usage is what gives rise to pilot holes, small holds drilled in woodworking to ease the job of a larger drill which will come later, pilot lights which maintain a small flame so that a larger flame can be ignited in the future, and pilot studies) which are small studies that predict the results of and guide planning of larger future studies.
A pilot episode fits naturally into that usage, it's a small/cheap/preliminary episode which may make a larger future run possible.

Riverghost, cr3 and Dekionplexis are living together with their tiny dog Pedro in an apartment in Vienna. They are here to score chicks, but things aren't going very swimmingly. For one thing, Riverghost thinks he's living in Vietnam and cr3 thinks they are in Australia, resulting in all kinds of misunderstandings between them and members of the other camp. Dekion knows exactly what is what, but he is too busy launching his musical career in an attempt to get the ladies to come to him. So far, however, he has succeeded in becoming a background dancer for the comeback tour of the Venga Boys, and still fighting with the other dancer over which one of them makes a better cowboy.
Their neighbour, the famous Austrian comedian Tahkcalb, keeps coming over to their apartment to groom both the boys and their dog, with mixed success. At one point at the end of the pilot episode, Pedro walks in on Tahkcalb, cr3 and Riverghost sharing a hot tub with Tahkcalb's friend, at this time only known as The Hedgehog From Hell, but was later unmasked as the only living descendant of Adolf Hitler's brother, Rudolph. The dog lifts its leg and pisses in the tub. The boys don't notice this.
*canned laughter*

Hijinks in the sky as lovable ugly mug Martin Clunes plays Hank Wangford, the crew communications officer on a military aircraft. Despite having terrible piles, Hank has to remain seated for a 14 hour reconnaissance mission.

Seemed alright flicking through, but 20 minutes is a bit long - edit the best bits to get people interested.
