
Images in Deluxe Paint II for the Amiga used a completely customisable palette of indexed colours.
As you change a colour in the swatches, it also changes any pixel in the image that uses that swatch.
There is a menu option to revert back to the app's default palette.
Seascape is an image supplied with the software, using a dark palette to show a nighttime scene. Reverting to a default palette changes all the colours and makes it look like daytime. Sky becomes blue, moon becomes sun, the field is full of flowers. Colours are warmer.
I would have just linked to images or a video instead of typing all this, but not much info out there that is easy to find.
