If this new flag shows cultural diversity then where will the Welsh flag fit into it? Affter all the 'union' Jack is a mix of all the flags of the UK. Sort of

maybe it was a hint for the welsh to piss off.

I thought the Union Flag was a mix of the St Georges Cross (England), the St Andrews Cross (Scotland) and The St Davids Cross (Yes, thats WELSH)...
If anyones going to moan, how about Norther Ireland or the Isle of Man, or Yorkshire?

you should suspect that you're wrong really.
The Union Jack was redrawn 200 years ago to include the following:
St. George's cross - a red cross on white to show England
St. Andrew's cross - a white cross on blue background to show Scotland
/EDIT: St. Patrick's cross - a diagonal red on white background to show the then subjugated Ireland, so now by inference the six counties.
St David is not included, as his flag is a YELLOW cross on blue - not black as I'd previously typed.
Yup, I fecked it up first go! :)
That mrflag.com is no help though. >

maybe, the addition of the black to the union flag, is not just to represent the multi-cultures in the UK, but also to keep the welsh happy as the black is on The St Davids Cross.

St David's cross is a yellow cross on blue background tho - so unless yellow gets put in they're still getting shafted.
And for the record, I think the welsh dragon is very cool - and a nice counterpoint to St George! :)

A yellow cross (diagonal) on navy blue background is the cross of St Alban. And I should know.

might want to get the white cross left out as well - let's face it running NI costs the UK how many hundreds of millions a year, the Irish government knows that if they had to reabsorb it, costs would spiral and taxes would change, noone too happy...
So basically no bugger wants it as long as the Unionists are runnign around with murders and punishment beatings cos the media lets them away with everything, and inciting violence with marches, and meanwhile the shinners refuse to 100% acknowledge that politics should be the seperate alternative to violence and they're still sending the ra-heads over to places like columbia to help export the violence - for a fee mind...
Get them off your flag and let them sort themselves out I say.
As long as innocent people are being killed for outdated beliefs and inground heirloom ideals, I say stop giving them attantion and let them figure it out autonomously. It'd be liek if Trolls on the board were ignored, excpet with a slightly higher chance of them gettign a regime change from the states... :)
This comment should not be taken too seriously - yes I know there's more to it. I think everyone 'cept the unionist thugs and IRA apologists are just tired of the violence! >
