The explorer-type-bar on the left appeared on my desktop last night and I have no idea how to get rid.
I can't left click it and there doesn't appear to be any options anywhere to remove it. I've searched on the MS support site, but seeing as I don't know what it's official name is, I've been searching in vain, anybody got any scooby?
Help much appreciated :)
edit It's evil XP SP1a btw

of generic answers: Have you tried right clicking it? Had you installed something new before it appeared? If so, it might be in the settings for that program. Or maybe you need to look at the settings for the taskbar at the bottom of the screen? This is all guesswork, but hopefully something in there might help!

See it is unchecked. Always has been.
I'm just gonna wipe the fucking thing and reinstall.

If you do that for a living, you got any jobs going? My contract finishes tomorrow.
