I gave up trying to get my Actiontec Prism II card to work under Linux, and moved the machine back to shitty Windows. Had the same problem, even after rebuilding the kernel, updating source tree, and downloading numerous versions of wlan-ng.

Life is just too short. Besides, it was for the bird. My new PC will be hooked up to the net box via 100Mbps cross over :-)
