i don't mean this in a rude way, but you have the right to piss off (not rude as in, i thought it was a clever play on your words. i don't actually want you to piss off). it's not as if you're going to change anyone's ways of modding by bitching about it - and the ethos of the b3ta collective has always been, as far as i can tell, 'if you don't like it, go somewhere else'.
i hardly ever look on the frontpage, to be honest, because most of the links and pictures there turn up on the board at some point.

The fault is with the people that post on here who do think that getting on the frontpage is the beginning, middle, and end of the earth. Fair enough, I think that most of the people who do it a lot are excellent at what they do, but i think it on the basis of the quality of their pictures, rather than the number of times they've appeared on the frontpage. I have a vague memory of even having had a conversation with someone at the 2nd birthday bash at which they said something along the lines of "I must be better than (insert name) because I've had (x number) of front pages and they've only had (x number)". To be honest, I can't be doing with the competitiveness of it all.
While I'm about it, can I humbly request a blanket ban on people who edit their posts after they've been frontpaged to say "thank you"? I really hate that.
