Is it just me?

Or is the front page only given to people who never do anything other than sit here all day?

The standard around here is slipping (though I still love you all) and you have to be in the gang to get an FP.

Is this fair? So many classy pieces have been ignored in favour of yet another pig in knickers (or whatever)

I thought this place was about innovation. Something new and exciting, not 'how many times can I front page with the same bloody joke?'.

As an independent advisor, I suggest the mods revise their policy on only FP'ing their mates.

why worry about the frontpage?

if you worry about what goes on the front page you're missing the entire point of b3ta. which is to join in and have a laugh, not have some kind of spurious 'honour' bestowed upon it.

if a fp-enabled person likes your image it will be put up regardless of who you are. don't imagine there's any kind of clique or conspiracy. some good stuff gets ignored, that's life, get over it.

The fault is with the people that post on here who do think that getting on the frontpage is the beginning, middle, and end of the earth. Fair enough, I think that most of the people who do it a lot are excellent at what they do, but i think it on the basis of the quality of their pictures, rather than the number of times they've appeared on the frontpage. I have a vague memory of even having had a conversation with someone at the 2nd birthday bash at which they said something along the lines of "I must be better than (insert name) because I've had (x number) of front pages and they've only had (x number)". To be honest, I can't be doing with the competitiveness of it all.

While I'm about it, can I humbly request a blanket ban on people who edit their posts after they've been frontpaged to say "thank you"? I really hate that.

it seems to be the images that get the most base reactions from people (uncontrollable sniggering/laughing and also disgust like my fish tongue pic) which get the front page rather than the more clever pictures
