# Nice one!
So many good ideas coming up...but to be honest the shopping is the crappest I've seen in a compo so far.

Well done for a good one!

# how can this be the crappest shopping look at that jolly green giant one
that is underneath
(, Sat 27 Sep 2003, 14:46, archived)
# Oh yeah....
silly me.

But really....you spend ages trying to push your own photo shopping abilities to the limit, and all people are doing is a dodgy cut and paste! Come on, at least put the effort into the shopping!

# humour over quality
works for me every time

# Phew.
I'm just hijacking this thread to say that as a photoshopper with a little over 7 hours experience (I had an idea, signed up to b3ta, then worked on it for the first time) it is nice to see the view expressed that it those of us who aren't very good technically still have a chance of impressing.

# I didn't think we'd turned into
perfectionists overnight - this ain't worth1000.com or whatever its called. I'm here for a laff so it doesn't matter what the pic quality is like :)
(, Sat 27 Sep 2003, 14:57, archived)
# No, but some seem to lack both humour and quality...
imho

# always the way,
always the way.

# Even friends squabble...
...sometimes ;)

# Tell ya what...
Bloid, if you see any of my work you want to re-do in a more technically accurate way I say go for it.

I'm good at ideas, and I'm learnign to do the hard bit as well. In the meantime feel free to show me how it is done.

And no, I won't re-post a lotta-links to my work so far. After all I've hijacked this thread way too much already.

(And yes, I'm a bl00dy n00b, but I'm having fun - and so should you)

# quite
right - superb work

# I did spead ages on it
ok i admit I could not match the skin tone
(, Sat 27 Sep 2003, 14:51, archived)
# Yours is cool....
The colour matching is the hardest part (see my Fast and the Furious - Dick Van Diesel below). At least the effort can be seen.
Ah well if you can't beat them, join them (badly)....look out for my next one....
(, Sat 27 Sep 2003, 14:55, archived)
# The effort can be seen indeed!!
:) I liked the dick van diesel one :-)

# I'm thinking of just sellotaping magazines together
and sending them to rob in the post...

I don't think some people know about hue/saturation, colorisation, feathering, and masks :-(
(, Sat 27 Sep 2003, 14:53, archived)
# Some people know
but most of us either dont have the time ( as we are at work) or can't be arsed
(, Sat 27 Sep 2003, 14:54, archived)
# Not being arsed is never an excuse...
