# Watch out
she'd probably punch you if you tried anything.
(, Sun 4 Jan 2004, 19:23, archived)
# That's only reporters
in airports - but she does have a mean temper. I saw her when she was far better in The Sugarcubes.
(, Sun 4 Jan 2004, 19:25, archived)
# i heard something by the punk group she was in
it was shite. but now she is a lovely little musical imp, and i like that a lot.
(, Sun 4 Jan 2004, 19:26, archived)
# I saw her back then.
Supporting, and singing with, 808 State. Back in '89, when house was house.

I still like her music now. Infact, I really have nothing bad to say about the woman.
(, Sun 4 Jan 2004, 19:26, archived)
# she
did backing for 808 state...well there is something I did not know....
(, Sun 4 Jan 2004, 19:28, archived)
# Not backing.
She sang lead on a couple of tracks on the "90" album, and The Sugarcubes supported them on that tour.

again I show my almost uncanny not to be able to read what is in plain sight....i should got into politics.

# they were as mad as a brush
I saw them with My Bloody Valentine I think - unless I am having a false memory. Completely hatstand and very funky.

# I was talking about MBV this afternoon.
I still have some of their records, and they're bloody awful ;)

# I love My Bloody Valentine
they remind me of a time when I was more innocent and all was well with the world.
(, Sun 4 Jan 2004, 19:36, archived)
# you must play them at maximum volume
live they were something else. The best noise I have ever heard. I was moved to tears on a couple of occasions.
(, Sun 4 Jan 2004, 19:39, archived)
# I saw her about '86 at Sheffield University
As a solo artist she isn't bad, but I still think she was far better in The Sugarcubes, who weren't really a punk bank as mentioned above. However I do like lots of punk bands from the late 70's and mid eighties - after that it got really crap.
(, Sun 4 Jan 2004, 19:31, archived)
# People don't know they're born these days.
When I were a lad, music were much better. Not to mention TV, films, buses, clothes, cereal, radishes, and pens.

All crap these days.

# Pens haven't got much better
have they?
(, Sun 4 Jan 2004, 19:34, archived)
# I was reminded the other day that when we were at school
we had a classroom ink bottle of Quink ink that we shared. Instead of cartridges we filled our fountain pens during the lesson.

i.e. we all had ink all over our fingers all of the time.
(, Sun 4 Jan 2004, 19:36, archived)
# *Fondly remembers having desks at school that were so old they had ink wells.*

but not quite so fondly*

# No. they've got worse!
Biros only last half as long when I'm down t'pit these days. That's if t'pit was still open.

# no
and my drawing pen is disgraceful at the minute...it keeps clogging. I may have to change. That's as dramatic as my life usually gets

# oh yeah
there's a whole new world of writing implements now

# I use a graphics tablet to write out quick notes...
...then print them out and stick them to the fridge with magnets.
(, Sun 4 Jan 2004, 19:40, archived)
# Ooh!
I get my graphics tablet on Wednesday!
You've got the right idea there!

# radishes - they were great back then
with a pound of best radishes you could rule the world and still have change for tuppeny ride on charabang to Cleethorpes.
haha

# no, the cubes weren't a punk band
but snot and spit (or something like that) were, and she was in it. innit.

i think i have listenend to her greatest hits everyday this week. i also like icelandic band sigur ros. i think everything from iceland is cool.

# even whale blubber?

The idea of microphone hair is oddly hilarious to me
(, Sun 4 Jan 2004, 19:37, archived)
# well, whale blubber is cold at least
my hair is giving me serious jip. when i wash it, it goes *poof!* (but in a visual way, you understand) and i resemble a microphone when i stand straight.
(, Sun 4 Jan 2004, 19:39, archived)
# hahaha
Just don't get one of those "cool" mullet things
(, Sun 4 Jan 2004, 19:40, archived)
# that would just be silly
i have a double crown, so a mullet is near impossible without some silly tufts here and there
(, Sun 4 Jan 2004, 19:41, archived)

a crown on the hair above his forehead, beat that!
(, Sun 4 Jan 2004, 19:44, archived)
