# You know what would be awfully nice
Is a Top | link to the right of 'Post a New Message' that just goes to www.b3ta.com/board/

so you can clear your #xyz anchor after posting, or just to jump back after going back into older messages

??

# I'd like that too.

# seconded
i keep having to delete the anchor info
(, Tue 6 Jan 2004, 22:06, archived)
# don't they make butter?

# ask
weeble
(, Tue 6 Jan 2004, 22:09, archived)
# that shocked me first time i saw it
having not known they were doing a weeble advert, or indeed WHY they chose that style for the horror that is anchor butter
(, Tue 6 Jan 2004, 22:11, archived)
# prolly because
it has a following on trendy youth type places on the interweb init? (yo)

I still haven't actually seen it :(

i deprived myself of tv for the last 8 moths or so. and the online thingy of it wouldn't work on my leen0x.

still, i've seen a screenshot, and heard a bit... GAH!

# It's quite good, really
Although I wouldn't bother ruining your moths about it.
(, Tue 6 Jan 2004, 22:18, archived)
# hoho
:P
(, Tue 6 Jan 2004, 22:11, archived)
# Or you could just waste a thread
That'll set the anchor right to the very top of the board.
(, Tue 6 Jan 2004, 22:05, archived)
# works for me.
i just tried it out. in my mind.
(, Tue 6 Jan 2004, 22:08, archived)
# that's what the "home" key is for.
(, Tue 6 Jan 2004, 22:06, archived)
# I use page Up.
(, Tue 6 Jan 2004, 22:07, archived)
# I use a scroll wheel
Honestly I have no idea what we're all talking about
(, Tue 6 Jan 2004, 22:09, archived)
# the annoying thing
is when you start to see a new animation play, then the browser catches up and jumps to the anchor tag for your last post. Something to give me the choice to override that would work well - I reckon it's more frequent for me to want to see the top of the baord after posting than it is for me to want to see my last post
(, Tue 6 Jan 2004, 22:10, archived)
# ahhhh
i get it now.
good idea.
(, Tue 6 Jan 2004, 22:13, archived)
# i rather like seeing my last post
because sometimes it's fun to see what people respond with
(, Tue 6 Jan 2004, 22:16, archived)
# page up only moves up a page though...
Home takes you to the top of the page...

i do also use the scroll wheel and the button above and below my scroll wheel which is the same as page up and page down... but Home is just easier
(, Tue 6 Jan 2004, 22:15, archived)
# they're great
for moving up and down the page, but they don't stop the board wanting to move to your last post whenever you refresh, because of the #2586482 bit on the end of the URL.
(, Tue 6 Jan 2004, 22:17, archived)
# You should try the mice we've got in work
They have a scroll nipple. You can either move the page painfully slowly, or they'll take you from one end of the board to the other in the blink of an eye.
(, Tue 6 Jan 2004, 22:22, archived)
# i had one of those...
a few years back... then i got the MS Intellimouse Explorer and loved that... and now i have the Logitech Cordless MX700 mouse. it's wonderful! there's even a taskswitch button that allows me to switch between open apps with one button!
(, Tue 6 Jan 2004, 22:40, archived)
# but
if you don't delete the anchor from the url then next time you f5 you'll get teleported again, instead of keeping your place on the page.
(, Tue 6 Jan 2004, 22:09, archived)
# we can but dream
(, Tue 6 Jan 2004, 22:06, archived)
# Kind of a good idea
Although i've never had any real problems. If you don't like it that much, post in a new window, then when you are done just close the new window and refresh the board page.

Just a logical suggestion
(, Tue 6 Jan 2004, 22:07, archived)
# that would be good
as would be something that make me impervious to pain and is resonably priced
