that there is a b3tan lurker who is fairly high up in what was Railtrack. He caused the Hatfield crash by spending too much time looking at pictures of kittens in unusual situations. He is also appropriately named after a major rail junction. The man is a slacker. (And if he's reading this - ner! :-p)

I wouldn't do a daily commute on them ever again, but I like taking the train to London for ocassional meetings. I always sleep in, enjoy a slow breakfast and just claim the train was late.
I will admit to having to mentally prepare for the 90 minute trip... like pack 4 books, a sleeping bag, a change of clothes, 2 litres of water and some sandwiches, ready for when something goes wrong...
