Did you write something about amplitube
or was it someone else?

I love AmpliTube
and always waffle on about it! How are you?

Fine!
I've just got it and have to admit it's fantastic!

I had a founder member of Budgie here playing a Telecaster
through it.

It's clever made,
but now I wish I had a Mac so I could use it in realtime! :|

What are you hosting it in?
Get the DSound GTPlayer Lite as a free download once you have registered it. Latency is dependent on you soundcard ASIO of course.

Cubase.
I thought it only was possible to use it in realtime using Mac OSX!?

Not at all! :)
I have had great success with a PC/Cubase/SoundBlaster LIVE with low latency drivers.

What Cubase version?
I'm using the VST32 5.1

I have used AmpliTube with VST 32
with a SEK'D Prodif 96 on a Pentium 266 Mhz. The card offers direct monitoring. Not all cards do. What is your soundcard?

Some crappy Creative Soundblaster.
That might be the problem!

MSN?
I'll hunt down the alternative drivers that are fixed to 48 KHz and offer low latency down to 5 milliseconds. EDIT: au.geocities.com/kxcubase/

It works really

Cubase SL
and a decent ASIO soundcard will do the job. I personally didn't have much luck with the (ancient) version of VST I had before, but that was probably due to the previous soundcard. I know at least one person who uses a version of VST32 in real time.

I've always been quite sure
that I had some hadware problems, but I don't use it much and haven't spent much time dealing with it.
