TJ: I found this amusing, but are there any latin speakers here? Does this bird's scientific name mean what it looks like?

Turdus is the latin for the Genus Thrush.
So all thrushes, blackbirds etc are Turdus.
Blackbird is Turdus merula.
Song Thrush is Turdus mellifora.
Etc.
Disappointingly dull.
