have been playing around with filters to in photopap in an attempt to emulate the really cool paintmash style that people like grandmaofshoes and jimturner99 are currently making popular. Any good?

Also, if anyone could point me in the direction of a proper tutorial for such coolness I would be much obliged.

1) Open MS paint
2) Draw
There you go!

Ive tried that already and the results are shakey and pixelated. I know for a fact that jimturner (he of the strawberrydragon) uses photoshop and I really like the style but as yet have been unable to get the right clean and smooth looking style. btw, I too am a student and I've opted for a bottle of Southern Comfort next to the pc.

I asked if anyone could tell me how to get a paintmash *style* effect, that looked smooth and clean, as do those of other people mentioned. I can bodge a paintmash if i really try but I'm not really into that. I did have a picture of a squirrel monkey I mashed that I would show you but I seem to have misplaced the mischievous little bugger.

I had to uninstall flash, I have an 80gb hard drive and managed to get it down to 576kb of free space (without windows crashing!). As I havent tried anything in flash for nigh on 3 years I decided that it would be one of the first things to go. All I have lef tnow is photoshop & imageready, fireworks, all my music and a couple of prgrams for my uni course

although there is much debate over whether it still can be called a paintmash. some people believe paintmashes to be done exclusively in paint, while others will accept them done in photoshop as long as no filters are used and the image is done totally from scratch. if the latter is true, then the 2 images in my profile would be valid paintmashes.

pen tool.
many layers.
several class periods of diligently working on it, until my english prof. caught me and disapproved.
and all for a lousy bio page for my website.
