Then youd know
Not to threadwaste if you have a question without a purty picture.
Makes people grumpy.

Makes people grumpy.
There was a concensus a while back
that threadwastes don't actually exist, mainly because people get so horifically upset about them and spend more time answering the non picture thread than praising any pictures
It's doesn't say in the FAQ that you can't post non pic threads
'Q: Can I start a new thread without a picture?
A: Yes. But be considerate to other people using the board. And be interesting. Starting threads saying stuff like "gaz! IM me" can and should be deleted by board moderators.'

Ahh
Well, I only dislike it as it pushes peoples hard work off the bottom of the board, so they get less praise and satisfaction from thier work.

but to be fair
its going to be pushed off the bottom at some point anyway

Yes
But still, less time for the majority of the b3ta surfers to see it. :(
Im sure you understand my reasoning.

Nonsense
can you honestly say you are still looking at a thread by the time it gets to the bottom of the page?
Amount of praise and replies is not relative to amount of time on the board - if you post at 4am, your post will be on the board for a good couple of hours but few people will see it.
If you post at 4pm, your post will be off the board in 20 minutes, but many people will see it.

Yes
But a question thatd get nice answers if posted on a reply to a picture rather than posted as a main post and get rude answers, which would you prefer, Mystery Bob?

I think we'd all prefer it
if people spent more time making cool stuff and less time whingeing and being rude little scrotes to each other.
Not getting at you by the way!

Ill just shutup in future, I suppose!

Posting a question as a reply
still ususally gets the same mindless abuse from all the locely tolerant board members.
I think I would prefer if people could either be nice, or just keep quitet.
That's all.

I usually find them much more pleasant.
Maybe we just are usually on at different times.

I like shetland ponies.
Did you know you can have them as a replacement for guide dogs? That is, if your blind and dont have a fancy carpet.

Consensus
I'm not sure there was a consensus. I think one side of the argument made more noise and kept going when the other side couldn't be arsed anymore.
I also think fluffiness is overrated. You ask a silly question, you get a silly answer. You probably get a silly answer when you ask a sensible question too. It's all funny. Go on, someone tell me to Cock Off. I won't be offended.
