# Not sure how popular wrestling is here...meh...
(, Wed 21 Apr 2004, 17:08, archived)
# Through
it's association with 14 year olds, skate boarding and nu metal, its quite likely that it would be about as popular as a dose of the clap but that isnt to say I wish to sound unfluffy about your picture. Woo for effort.

# True,
but it's also popular amongst nerds, and thus...

# I dont much care for it and wouldnt know.
Last time I had a passing interest was when the collector cards first became big in 91/92ish. I had a Legion of Doom backpack. Don't know what happened to it though

# and thus....
you had no problem finding a pic to shop from your extensive collection on your hard drive?
;)

# Now
that is some old school wrestling. I remember my dad telling me about them when I was little and then almost killing me while attempting to demonstrate the correct way to carry out the Boston Crab. Me = crying, mum = not happy, dad = in trouble.

# Haha
i went to see some old school wrestling when i was young in late 70s/early 80s. when the bad guy came on (you could tell he was the bad guy because he had a black glove on and refused to take it off) this old woman in the crowd got so angry at him, she stood up and threw her chair into the ring at him. Fond memories.

# So thats how you spot bad people.
It's the ones with black gloves who wont remove them. And the Americans insist on tight security and lots of silly questions to get into America. All they need ask is "Will you kindly remove your gloves?" When people refuse, you arrest them.

# I fear
Alvin Stardust may be knackered then. on the plus side Jacko wont escape :)

# Alvin Stardust worries me.
As a child of the eighties, I suffered him less but I've seen videos, oh yes, Ive seen them. Him and little girls crossing the road. Dont know which was worse, him or Kevin Keegan and his absurd perm.

# Being married to Lisa Goddard . . .
that's what worried me about Alvin

In other news, I shared a tube journey today with Fergal Sharkey !! He's just as ugly in real life . . .

# Theres
a name i didnt think i would hear today. the minute he left the undertones he went pap. the 80s got hold of him and tunred him into some wanky pop singer.

# I think the spear is a wrestling move
Like "the tombstone drop" or "the Jaguar lariat" or "the Spandex fart"
(, Wed 21 Apr 2004, 17:13, archived)
# I think,
but dont take my word for it, that the spear is charging and sort of diving headlong at someone with your body in a sort of horizontal flight, with the ultimate goal of knocking the other person to the ground. From this position you can then proceed to pin them, adminster mouth to mouth or indulge in bizarre fetishes.
(, Wed 21 Apr 2004, 17:16, archived)
# the Jaguar lariat . . .
is a very technical move, you don't want to try it on a full stomach

I'm more of a fan of the Possum Pin though :o)
