# My web prof was a cunt
she had no clue on how to teach the class and I wound up teaching myself how to use fireworks. Then for java script she told us to go to this website and copy the script. I was like cunt, I could do that myself. What a waste of an hour.

# Surely you shouldn't
be using fireworks either indoors or during a lesson, its a safety hazard.
Oh..... I get ya now....

# I taught meself
fireworks intermediate skills in an hour with the help of donthaveaclue yesterday....saved me hours of hand coding what I wanted to do....woo to fireworks!

# w00t
any wanker can teach themselves a program. I didn't need to be bored to death for an hour. Our homework for the so called "advanced" class is to make an navigation bar.

# gods.....what
tools were they expecting you to use for that? I know it can be done in notepad (cos I've done it) but that ain't for beginners!

# Fireworks MX
that's what we used to learn how to do it. She didn't tell anyone how to code it by hand. I doubt anyone in that room is resourceful enough to get the right programs for free so they'll all have to do it on university computers. It was a waste of time, she was so disorganize.

# Fireworks MX has only just
come out; the thing that annoys me with it is the amount of duplication it does.....the thing I used it for yesterday created 16 unnecessary images so I had to code the rest by hand to remove the extras and get the download size down.....could be a setting for V4 browsers mind, it's all down to browser behaviour after all.

# Yeah I saw
a bunch of extra bullshit when I viewed the code. I'm thinking of just coding it by hand to get used to it. However, the one good thing is I have unlimited bandwidth since it's the school and for a class. Hee hee. The only problem is that I can't use it to upload anything else.

# Hmm....I don't think full hand coding
is necessary.....fireworks will do all the donkeywork so all you have to do is optimise by hand afterwards just to get rid of duplicate images. Having said that I also did a lot of re-editing in dreamweaver, but I didn't have to - it worked fine on its own.

just started to use PHP myself. and like you i taught myself HTML and CSS. PHP's the only stuff i've copied. java script's beyond me though, i'm afraid.
