I take back the smiley, it was a gratuitous attempt to calm down a situation which could have blown up into a far more interesting argument.

because she is shiny and sparkly and she doesn't sing like an American.
These are all fine things, to be applauded and encouraged. And I do like her music too, most of the time... although large parts of the album can only be described as bobbins.

... she writes her own lyrics, in collaboration with her S.O. , has cooked a few tracks up with Rich Hall (Moby). When I lsten to the album, however, I keep sensing a hint of Manilow sprinkled with a sprig of Garbage.

Just with my moles and general rough look in the picture, parallels were drawn at the time.
To give you an idea of my justification for liking SEB, here's my current "hitlist":
Rammstein
Slipknot
David Bowie
Daft Punk
Divine Comedy
Therefore, as you can probably see, I am clinically insane, and can henceforth like whatever I want to.

i'm all for judging songs entirely by whether you like them or not.
Gave up liking what my friends like in senior school :)
My CD collection is pretty varied, although it seems to be growing more metal CDs than anything else recently.
In fact, i'm so mad, that the two types of music I listen to most are heavy metal and C64 tunes :)

to misquote Crowley, "Like what thou Wilt!"
I went through the Smash Hits phase in my early teens, then the "Mulleted metal mutha", the Iron Maiden banners, etc, then the "Eezer Goode" and "Sex Magick" phase in 6th form, and since then, I've prided myself on always liking something my mates hated.

Awesome band - all over 60 with a 'circular-breathing' sax player. Totally outstanding gig. The sax player looked like Sir John Gielgud, only without the young boys.
