hmmmmm
I always prided myself in supporting a website that doesn't run for the sake of money.
I know that rob and everyone else need money to keep the site running, but somethings just not right about this site selling out to a corporation. Ads in the newsletter were.... agreeable, but this whole Playstation stunt?
Its a bit too much.

Why?

i don't have a problem with the source of the money
i do have a problem with the massive volume and low b3ta-ness of the compo entries which are swamping the board.
and an even bigger problem with the way i've joined in with that; although that is my problem.

^this
this exactly. No problem at all with the compo itself. just the volume/"let's stick the logo on any goddamn picture we can find"-ness.
edit : and the anti-playstation entries are as bad for this as the pro ones.

Yeah, visually stunning
to the point where I was actually checking out the backgrounds instead of watching what was happening because it bored me to shit.

oh stop it
i did this already check page 49...this guy did it better tho'
when lacking a good idea - attack...this guys got the same idea as me
i think everyone agrees that b3ta shouldn't close, and also that they have to make money some how but thats what i thought the newsletter adverts were for...a bloke made the valid point that this compo is not at all in the spirit of the others, the others were about mocking or taking an alternative view - this is about supporting PS2 which is very different
