I don't know about doing graffiti type stuff
but to make text look more authentic, you could select a colour from the image to use as your text colour (or reduce the contrast level), then liquify/warp it to get the perspective right and maybe blur the text if it needs it.

photoshop allows you to change the brush type (it's top left)
play with different types and levels of blur maybe - stroke looks too uniform in surrounding colour
