# Neal
I work with someone called Neal. He's a fat bastard. His spelling is,
at best, utter shit. Check this beauty out.

[edit] I do love the 'all the best' at the end of his fat-rant.
[edit 2] it is a link.

# Padleys make some quite nice stuff...
They have at the same tradeshows as the company I work for on several occasions, and I always pinch some stuff.

# now I see
I think (edit: you're the original poster is /edit) a cunt for posting this BTW

This is a man who is obviously very consiencious about his work even if he can't spell or write very well. The tone of the letter was actually quite good as it got the point across well without being nasty.

Unlike you.

Not everyone had the chance of a good education, or speaks English as their first language. Some people have a great difficulty with writing or reading. It shouldn't make them the object of ridicule.

# nothing political about it
just stating my opinion.

I hate intellectual snobbery is all

everybody who wants to work and to do a good job deserves respect.

there's plenty of twats that do not want to contribute to society in any constructive way whatsoever that deserve all the ridicule you want to fire at them

# yeah but,
at the same time, the board is renowned for being unpredictable.

if someones takes a dislike there's normally a reason. in this case i think its cos the guy who posted the letter, is comin across as a smug sheeeite.
*mimics*"ooh look at my spacky work colleague, hes suck a sp4xxorz. im so much bettererer cos i can spell an' stuff. /editeven tho im obviously shit at my job and take no pride in anything i doedit\, im a better person" *mimics*
this may not be the case, he maybe a lully person really, he may just have mis-judged the mood on the board, but thats the way things go round here.

# not an excuse
I know quite a few dyslexic people and most of them can spell perfectly well when they think about it.
(, Fri 6 Jan 2006, 13:13, archived)
# surely if they can spell perfectly well
they're not "tecnically" dyslexic?
(, Fri 6 Jan 2006, 13:20, archived)
# Dyslexia's not about spelling...
It's about the brain not storing the information correctly. A dyslexic can spell if they concentrate because they remember the rules that govern spelling and particularly difficult words stand out and so are also remembered in this way. Though my friend who spells it 'Christams' every single time may have gotten that particular wire crossed. I find dyslexics fascinating because they think in a completely different way to the rest of us "normal" people, and are generally more creative people.

and I promise I won't point out the irony of "tecnically"
