I broke down once almost immediately after getting my new car, the auto Mini, and two guys offered to push my car off the road for me into a carpark.
They kept telling me to 'dip the clutch' and each time I had to warble 'I don't have a clutch' much to their puzzlement and amusement.
Edit: Bloody hell, I sure type a lot, don't I?

And chocolate cash. But they refused it all. They were sweet guys though.

Oh, this reminds me.
I broke up with my boyfriend in London, so coming down will be more of a pain than usual. Plus the 4%+ rise in train fares *grumble*. And my refusal to drive to London ever again.

I had a manual Mini for a year, before it got nicked.
Then I had the choice of another manual generic fartbox or an auto Mini.
I tried to drive my parents cars over the holiday , and it took some getting used to.
Then again, Volvos are heavier than Minis. And Probes are more responsive.
