He needs a tail
rotor.
But if he could fart a constant flow of gas, this could be piped through 90 degrees and might do the trick.
At low speeds, advanced sphincter control could add maneouvrability to the design.

Or he could have two rotors, mounted one above the other,
rotating in opposite directions.
Edward has confessed to me that he is a big fan of the coaxial rotor and, indeed, Igor Sikorsky is his greatest hero.
