# nice plate
where ever did you get it ?
(, Tue 24 Dec 2002, 15:34, archived)
# It's very 70's isnt it?
It's my step mother's, I had to tie it {and a huge piece of trifle, protected with nothing but clingfilm) to the seat of my motorbike.

She _really_ wanted me to have some trifle.

Anyway I haven't taken the plate back yet :0)

I'd love a set of those this Xmas..

# hooray!
don't mind if i do!

might i suggest that you reduce the image dimensions on that? looks like you've done a fair bit of optimisation on it already, but a max side length of around 200px would do just as well for the image that it is and bring its size down considerably

# Hehe
It was 1200x16000 to start with, It shouldn't be over 200k (I always try and make sure they are smaller than that) Anyway give it a couple of minutes. As my ISP takes a little while to change files.
(, Tue 24 Dec 2002, 15:39, archived)
# nice :)
people say you should keep things below 200k, but that limit is really for the occasional picture where you really can't get the idea across in less. normally we just try to keep everything as small as possible, i.e. somewhere around 30k or less for a jpg, 80k or less for an animation seems the norm, and not too harsh on dialuppers.
(, Tue 24 Dec 2002, 15:41, archived)
# Yeah, but I'm a dirty boy
I dont do stills.
