# I always thought that some of the Deadline strips were hit and miss.
I liked the film.
Naomi Watts in see-through jeans.
Lori Petty lezzing it up with her.
A tank.
What's not to like?
(, Wed 24 May 2006, 8:59, archived)
# The fact that its about water and not beer
that they dont swear
that Booga is a mutant and not a kangaroo
that the Tank is alive like fucking Knight Rider
that Tank Girl isn't topless in the film
that Jet and Sub girl don't kick ass like they should
that no one gets killed with blood and guts going everywhere
that there is no aboriginal mystic shit
that there is no female sexual empowerment
that there is no Kamp Koala

I could go on for a couple of pages with this :D
(, Wed 24 May 2006, 9:02, archived)
# *checks to see if still going
no religion bashing
no sex
no gratuitous drinking
no mocking of consumerist society
no style
no fucking guns!
no chopper bicycles, amputations, indie band cameos, drugs or knob gags!

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrgh!

*yup
(, Wed 24 May 2006, 9:08, archived)
# Comic was great
film was poor

potential for lezzing action wasn't lived up to.

# what was the strip he did for a mens lifestyle mag

(, Wed 24 May 2006, 9:19, archived)
# can't remember

(, Wed 24 May 2006, 9:26, archived)
# I remember it, but can't quite get a grip
I remember the character falling out of a club and having a fight...........

Hold on, she had a kung fu side kick who was a cross between Bruce Lee and Murdoch from Gorillaz, and she may have had red hair......

Got it "Get the Freebies" it was in The Face

:D
(, Wed 24 May 2006, 9:30, archived)
# yup! that's the one!
(, Wed 24 May 2006, 9:45, archived)
# There are cans of Spunk Beer in lots of scenes.
There's a lot of stuff they couldn't get away with in a 12 rated film.
There wasn't any mystic aboriginal shit in any of the early strips either.
Kamp Koala was shit.
No female sexual empowerment? Did you see the same film? Also Hewlett did a lot of that stuff in the strips so he could draw nude women.
Phillip Bond's "Hot Triggers" was better too:)
(, Wed 24 May 2006, 9:16, archived)
# sorry,
I meant aboriginal art and stuff, which is clearly visible at the top of page one of her second appearance :D

And I know that they couldn't do most of it in a 12 rated film, which is why it shouldn't have been a 12 rated film!
They should have just called that monstrosity Britney Spears the fantastical movie or something.

Tank Girl deserved better
(, Wed 24 May 2006, 9:24, archived)
# ^this
*thinks of lori petty lezzing with Naomi Watts*
