# erm.
If you tell me you do the anim in flash and export it to a gif.
Do you think I'll be able to compete?

# The optimisation is too good for Flash
Flash sucks for exporting to a gif. If I do things in Flash then I first publish as an image sequence then import-folder-as-frames and optimise in Image Ready. It's a bit laborious, but it's the only way to get a decent gif from a Flash animation, I find.

# aye imageready is the business for optimerisation
i tend to use corel rave rather than flash as it seems to be better for importing photoshop files

# Fireworks is my weapon of choice for animated giffery
I only use ImageReady for converting video files into .gifs

# You can publish as a sequence?
God damnit I've been print screen-ing every frame!

# or you can just download a copy of Magic swf2gif
which converts swfs to gif (obviously), perfectly!... then its just a case of loading the gif in imagereadybrek and cropping/optimising to taste.
