Freedom of speech is one of the fundamental aspects of Western liberalism. To allow ourselves to be gagged and intimidated into silence by a bunch of religious militants who threaten to kill anyone who voices an opinion other than their own is absolutely unnacceptable.

if you read The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy it doesn't tell you you're evil if you covet an ox, or 'lie down' with another man. It tells you a man in a dressing gown saved the Earth and that the president of the galaxy has two heads.
