Have you tried feeding it stuff like hamburger meat? Or are spiders more choosey about what they eat?

because they inject them with digestive enzymes which are carried around the still living animal's respiratory system, digesting the entire prey within it's exoskelton, leaving a nutritious soup for the spider to sloo. Dead stuff won't work because it won't digest.

I'm wondering what to do to keep it fed over the winter.
