I do love my Firefox, but for some reason half way through a video it locks up and then crashes. Anyone else have this problem?

I have Flash Blocker loaded, but I don't think that's the issue.

Bugger. I have to open IE if I want to watch the video in it's entirety

Have you tried the IETab extension?

You could get it to load the links board in an IE-based tab... no idea if it'd work, but worth a go.

edit: That's odd... https:// links autolink in Live Preview but not on the board. Witchcraft!

Odd.

What version of flash?
Mine says "9,0,16,0".
Does it manage to preload the video if you pause at the start?

yeah, it can preload the entire thing and then just locks up, firefox crashes

and I get the stupid 'would you like to send an error report'

then Firefox won't start again because it's already running (!?)

I have to open up the task manager and kill the process. Then I can restart FF.

I have all the latest vresions

and it only happens sometimes

infact it happened earlier when i tried to watch this (don;t know why i was watching it)

you aren't missing much

mine doesn;t crash the browser, it just screws up the video
the bit at the end of each you tube clip where there are two more clips you can click on goes mental with them flying all over the place :¬S

edit: anyway - i'm going to go to bed although with that song now firmly stuck in my head i probably wont get much sleep

Using AdBlock?

Uncheck Obj-Tabs on Adblock preferences if checked (right click on Adblock, preferences, toggle Obj-Tabs to uncheck). It can cause probs with WMP embeds under Firefox 1.5

This might help.

I could never get Flash to work properly in Firefox

until I uninstalled and reinstalled both apps, Flash first.
